The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi is set to execute the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE's) grading system for polytechnics known as Standardized Unified Grading System, powerful from first semester 2017/2018 academic session.

The new evaluating system which is operational in for all polytechnics and across the nation over influences students who are right now in ND1, Diploma 1 and HND 1, inferring that ND2, Diploma2, and HND2 are not influenced by this improvement.

75% and above. =A.

70%– 74% =AB

65%– 69% =B

60%– 64% =BC

55%– 59% =C

50%– 54% =CD

45%– 49% =D

40%– 44% =E

3.50 and above =Distinction

3.00– 3.49. =Upper Credit
