The New E-pins Process for 2018 JAMB Registration 2018 which is the latest step that jamb brought recently for the registration of 2018 candidates

The New E-pins Process for 2018 JAMB
1. interested candidate send his/her names, maximum of 38 characters +2 between names = 40 characters in all, to a dedicated JAMB Short Code.55019
2. Only one GSM number is acceptable per candidate.
3. An OTP (One Time Password) will be received by the candidate on the same GSM Number. He/she used during registration
4. Candidate will present the OTP to the partners (banks, MMO, etc) for the purchase of form/PIN.
5. The PIN is then sent as Text Message (SMS) to the candidate upon payment through the same GSM Number.
6. Candidates are to present the E-pins at any JAMB accredited center for  completion of registration
7. Candidate is expected to pay not more than N700.00 as Service Charge to the CBT Centre
8. Provides bio-data
9. Choice of institutions and programmes
10. UTME subjects
11. Picture capture (no passport photography)
12. Biometric capture
13. Print Registration Slip using biometric authentication
14. Collect reading text & CD

  • with an uninterupted network connection Log on to JAMB website: www.jamb.gov.ng
  • Click on the Registration button
  • Enter confirmation Code
  • Select payment Method e.g.  Remita or interswitch
  • Make  your payment
  • E-pins is then delivered to the candidate’s unique
  • telephone number

Duties of Participating Financial Institutions:

  • 1. Collect OTP from candidate’s phone
  • 2. Collect payment for purchase and issue E-pins
  • 3. Facilitate POS (Point of Sales) payments.
  • 4. Provide evidence of payment.

NOTE: To candidates that encountered some mistakes and wishes correct a mistake in candidate’s name, resend a text message (from the registered number) “CORRECT Surname First name Middle name” to 55019

To retrieve a lost confirmation code, resend a text message (from the registered number) “RESEND” to 55019.  however, JAMB has made it much more easier for candidates who misplaced their E-pins and it can be retrived all you need to do is send a text message from the registered telephone number “UTMEPIN” or “DEPIN” to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively
The ePIN would then be retrieved instantly. please all capitalized words on this article should also be capitalized when sending

PLEASE IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT FOR EVERY CANDIDATE TO USE/STICK TO A VALID GSM LINE WHICH IS ACCESSIBLE AT ALL TIME. NO MULTIPLE LINE IS ACCEPTABLE FOR A CANDIDATE. THE FIRST GSM LINE USED BY CANDIDATES WILL BE ADOPTED BY JAMB FOR SUBSEQUENT CORRESPONDENCE ON THE REGISTRATION.
